Twitter user willfulchaos photoshopped Maddy Perez into the Be Not Afraid template, subsequently making her a Biblically Accurate Angel. For instance, on January 26th, Twitter user romansgerri referenced the movie Interstellar in a Maddy Perez meme, earning roughly 100,600 likes over two days (shown below, left). Meme creators started getting more creative with the image in the days following by editing the image into a range of other formats or scenes. One example was posted by Twitter user chanelnumbertwo later the same day, captioning the screencap with, "the square root of 16," earning roughly 126,400 likes, also over the course of two days (shown below, right). The tweet that started this chain reaction was posted by Twitter user inorganic_gooch, who rotated the image and captioned it, "me doing planks," earning roughly 302,000 likes over the course of two days (shown below, left). Starting on January 26th, 2022, the screencap of Maddy Perez with her fists banging on the door was exploited en masse across Twitter. For instance, on January 13th, TikToker alfierichie posted a video that had text overlay reading, "me knocking down the door of whoever started the lana x euphoria song rumor after it doesn't happen," earning over 30,700 plays and 2,700 likes in 16 days (shown below). Maddy's door scene became prevalent in memes on TikTok shortly after. The first known meme creator to exploit the clip of Maddy knocking on the door was Twitter user htsvzn on January 10th, referencing the mom in the horror movie Hereditary when she bangs on the attic door. The clip of the scene was uploaded to YouTube on the 13th by YouTuber Mother Oxen, earning over 3,200 views in two weeks (shown below). The scene in which Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) is banging on a door that Cassie and Nate are behind comes from the January 9th premiere. The show details the life of edgy high schoolers, who many online made memes about within Euphoria High School memes and Cassie Hiding In Bathtub exploitables. On January 9th, 2022, the season two premiere of HBO's Euphoria was made available for streaming.
